My First Christmas

Hello!

well here is a small selection of pictures mummy and daddy took of me on my First Xmas. I am dressed in my xmas best, including a Santa hat that was a little too big for me. I got more presents than anyone and i had a ball opening them all. Not surprisingly, i enjoyed the wrapping paper and ribbons more than the gifts themselves (but i do love all my new things a lot).

Above you can see dad trying to cook me in Tia Claudia & Tio Jano's new BBQ, me chilling with awelita & awelito on the swing chair and generally having a great time this festive season. I also had a good go at picking flowers from my awelita's garden. I know she loves me lots because she let me tear a few off without a peep.

Ah yes, you can also see me sporting a swimsuit for the first time, Tia Claudi has bought me 2 already, i can't wait to get in the water again and show off the other one too. What else... i went down my slippery dip at home for the very first time. It's been a long time coming (7 months waiting for this day). I enjoyed it a lot, mainly because i was safe within daddy's reach in case i went off flying in the air.

That's all for now. I must say mummy and daddy were VERY happy with me on xmas morning, as i slept beautifully the night before and did not wake up until 6.50am (a first for me). Yay!! Well, they HAD to have a xmas present from me after all...

Ok, kisses and love

New Tricks

Hello!

Well well well, guess who can sit up and not fall over? that's right! ME! I actually do fall over but not often, and since i don't have far to fall i don't cry about it either.

Here is the photographic evidence.
Dad has been trying to get me to crawl by putting me on hands and knees. I have not enjoyed that. No crawling for me yet, thanks!

Also, mum had xmas cards made with me on them, and so she dressed me in a little Christmas outfit which i must say i look pretty good in. And just for the photo i gave her a killer smile.

Another fun thing is that when mummy sings to me I dance for her. But it is a different kind of dance. I shake my head in a "NO" fashion. Very funny. Especially when she sings to get me to eat and with all that head shaking she can't get the spoon in my mouth! ha!

Discovering new things

Hello!

Mummy wanted to share these photos that show how big i am getting and the things i am getting up to at home these days.

I love pamphlets (well, paper of any kind really...) and i discovered mummy & daddy's recycling bin so i quickly make my way over there daily to see if i can grab any pamphlets to sneak away with.

Mummy has been giving me new foods to try and i must say, toothiepegs are delicious! plus they make such a big mess, i love it!
And i also love being up high where i can grab mummy or daddy's hair. I laugh a lot when they bounce me around but they have learnt to be careful with this move as i vomited all over mummy's hair not long ago. So funny!

A day at Bronte Beach

Hello!

The weather wasn't great but mummy took me to Bronte beach anyway. We met up with Aunty Irene & Felix and also Auntie Ruth & Luis. Very cute boys. I must remember that when i am older.

We took turns in being asleep so we couldn't get a picture of the three of us together but here are a few that mummy took of everybody.

I was a very good girl and ate all my lunch, sat upright without falling over and i slept in my pram for a good little while. Yay me!

I didn't get to go in the water but it's just a matter of time. Summer is here already!

Uncle JJ's Birthday

Hello!
Well these photos are of Uncle JJ's b'day yesterday. I got together with my cousins Lani & Tommy and we all hung out for a bit, until it was nap time for each of us.

I had lots of fun checking things out on my walker, Lani liked my shoes so much that she tried to keep one as a hat. I held hands with both my cousins and we took turns at eating Nanna's plants.

Dad gave me a Corona to hold but i don't think i am into beer.

What else is new...

I am blabbing on about lots of things now, i say "mamamamama" a lot and sometimes "dadadada". I blow spit bubbles when i say the letter "bbbbbb" over and over, and i scream to get attention, much to mummy's dismay.

I am excellent at rolling over these days and i am also quite good at holding onto things. I can even take small sips from my sippy cup. I have also recently discovered i have wrists and i move my hands back and forth putting my wrists to use. I am using my left hand more than my right so who knows, maybe i'll be a leftie like my awelito!

I tried ice cream for the first time yesterday, daddy gave me some when mummy wasn't looking. She was not impressed. But i loved it!

Ok, more stories and photos soon

Long Time Without News... Lots Coming:

My First Family Wedding: October 25 2008

Congratulations to my Tia Claudi & Tio Jano on their beautiful wedding. She looked so beautiful and he was very handsome. I was only there for a little bit- i just wanted to get in some photos and then go home for my bottle and bed.

Thank you to my tios for setting a place for me at their Wedding Reception but it was past my bedtime and Mummy says i'm still too young to party.

Anyway, here are some photos that i managed to get in for. If you look carefully you will see that I am trying super hard to reach the red bouquet and eat it. I was not successful unfortunately. Oh well, next time...
And look how handsome my Daddy is. No wonder i'm so cute.

October 11 2008: My Christening

Hello, On saturday October 11 I was christened at St Declan's Parish in Penshurst. I was wearing a smashing white number and my lovely saturday night cardy that Awelita knitted for me. I also had some fancy shoes on but nobody saw them because my dress was very long.

Mummy says i was very well behaved and i didn't cry or anything. I did try to eat the Ceremony Booklet though, i left a large sloppy hole in it from having it in my mouth for so long. Everyone laughed when Father Adrian poured water over my forehead and i opened my mouth to try to drink it. So funny!

Thank you to everyone who came to see me make my Catholic Debut! And a special thanks to my beautiful Madrina: Tia Claudi, and my handsome Uncle Scott who is my godfather.
