October 11 2008: My Christening

Hello, On saturday October 11 I was christened at St Declan's Parish in Penshurst. I was wearing a smashing white number and my lovely saturday night cardy that Awelita knitted for me. I also had some fancy shoes on but nobody saw them because my dress was very long.

Mummy says i was very well behaved and i didn't cry or anything. I did try to eat the Ceremony Booklet though, i left a large sloppy hole in it from having it in my mouth for so long. Everyone laughed when Father Adrian poured water over my forehead and i opened my mouth to try to drink it. So funny!

Thank you to everyone who came to see me make my Catholic Debut! And a special thanks to my beautiful Madrina: Tia Claudi, and my handsome Uncle Scott who is my godfather.

Meeting Tia Poli for the First Time...

I have had so much fun with Tia Poli... she made me laugh lots from the beginning. Her curly hair is very funny! She has read me stories, given me cuddles and sang me songs. The only thing she didn't do was change my nappy (they're not that bad!)

I gave her gummy smiles all the time and let her take lots of photos of me. She bought me so many nice presents, I am a lucky, lucky bunny!

I miss her and her curls...
Love you Tia Polita! I hope to see you again soon! Hurry up and come home so we can hang out some more! You're gonna miss my first teeth!!

Doing Big Girl Things...

Hello!

This week i have officially started solids. Mum has given me rice cereal and pear to try so far and i wear a lot of my food instead of eating it, but it's fun! Can't wait to try apple, carrot and potato next. For some strange reason i like to sneeze when i am given food and of course it goes everywhere, including Mummy!

I am also learning to look at books and eating them. I especially like ones that have crunchy pages.

And although i love my bath, i am enjoying showers too. I get myself a little drink of water while i'm in there with Mummy or Daddy.
And we are very excited that Tia Poli will be arriving in Sydney soon. What shall i wear to the airport!???

A sunny day out with the family

hello!

Tia Alicia invited us all to Centennial Park for a BBQ so off we went! It was a very warm day so mummy dressed me in a lovely fresh dress that she bought for me earlier in the week. Everyone loved me in it, especially since i was also showing off my legs (with lots of rolls in them!). The finishing touch was the very cute pair of undies that my Tia Claudi gave me when i was born. I got lots of kisses from everyone, and Catalina gave me lots of hugs and played with me too.

I am looking forward to summer so we can go out to the park and the beach lots, and so i can wear my pretty hat again!

mummy's been playing with photoshop

Mummy belongs to an internet forum where parents swap information to help us eat, play and sleep well. They all need a signature so everyone knows who their babies are. Here are mummy's. She thinks i am the cutest baby in the forum. I think she might be right!

Day Out at Centennial Park

Hello! today i was out in the spring sunshine with Mummy and her friends Lee and Irene. Aunty Lee had Alannah with her, and Aunty Irene had Felix. The three of us were only awake at the same time for a little while so it was hard to get lots of photos together, but we managed!

I loved the sun on my legs and arms (not so much on my face) and even though it was a bit windy we had a great day today. I hope Mummy takes me back there soon!

This one's for my Daddy!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!

Mummy feels a bit ripped off that she didn't get a Mother's Day this year (I was busy kicking her tummy back then, still inside) but Daddy gets his glory day. Oh well, I told her she'll get extra presents next year- lots of kisses from me and I will actually be able to say "Mummy" then!

Anyway, these are some photos Mummy has taken recently, one of which we turned into a card for Daddy to put on his desk at work.
